The Partnership and Procurement role within Senscot provides a dedicated programme of practical support to social enterprise in identifying and responding effectively to emerging tender and other business opportunities. The role supports social enterprises to develop partnerships and consortia.|
This is a joint initiative between Senscot and Social Firms Scotland (SFS) partly in response to: the growing maturity of the SE community and their expressed need for support to facilitate greater collaboration and inter-trading, but also in response to specific policy measures being introduced by the Scottish Government such as, service reform, public social partnerships / co-planning approaches and the sustainable procurement agenda.
In particular, the initiative seeks to fill a gap in the existing support landscape through a dedicated programme and resource - with two specific objectives:
a) To give practical support to social enterprises and social firms in identifying and responding effectively to emerging tender/contracting opportunities.
b) To give practical support to social enterprises and social firms in developing partnerships for joint working; developing new services etc.
