Sports Update - 27 June 11
1/Kirkcudbrught Swimming Pool - one of our Sport SEN members are up for the Jubilee Millions award but need phone votes - they're looking for £60K for solar panels - if you can help the number is 0871 626 88 15 - it's only 10p per call from a landline and open today until midnight (27th)!
2/ Internships - for information here's the link to information on the SCVO internship scheme - http://www.qmu.ac.uk/TSIS/. I'm also going to meet with Stirling University re possible placements for MSc in Sports Managment students - watch this space!
3/ Pool Manager vacancy - another of our Sport SEN members, Mid Argyll are looking for a replacement manager (http://www.macpool.org.uk/) as we sadly say au revoir to Eilidh who is moving to more central pastures!
4/ Community Spaces funding - a new lottery stream has come online and although not strictly for sport it may be worth taking a look - I've been promised some guidance from them as to exactly what they'll fund in term of sport so will keep you posted - http://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/prog_community_spaces_scotland.htm
5/ Just Enterprise - due to launch mid July this fund will be great if you need some updating of your business plan or maybe some market research and this time round it's for aspiring and established social enteprises. Also keep your eyes open for the new Community Jobs fund (www.scvo.org.uk/training-employability/community-jobs-scotland/) & the Growth Fund.
